The University of Toronto is committed to providing equality of opportunity and improving access for all people with disabilities who study at the University. Every effort to provide appropriate accommodations is made to persons with disabilities.
It’s important to identify your needs early. If you are a student or prospective student and require disability-related residence accommodations, it is important that you:
- Make an appointment and register with Accessibility Services
- Provide Accessibility Services with sufficient current documentation from a practitioner certified in the areas of the disabilities to verify the disability and the functional impact of the disability on education.
When you register with Accessibility Services, you will work with an advisor to determine what accommodations are appropriate for you. They will then work with Housing staff to determine what is available to you.
We urge you to register as soon as possible so the staff can assess your needs and forward their recommendations to an appropriate residence office.
The earlier you come forward to make your needs known, the better we will be able to respond to the request.
